Air Fryer Gratinated Squid

Air fryer gratinated squid is a perfect recipe to make with this appliance for quick and tasty cooking.
In the air fryer, the squid remains tender inside and forms a tasty golden crust outside.
We can serve them as an appetizer or a main course and we can use either squid or calamari, the calamari may cook a few minutes less.
I prepared a tasty breadcrumb to season my squid and once cooked, I completed them with a squeeze of lemon, and how do you like them?
If you happen to make this or any of my other recipes on my blog, feel free to send me your photos and I will put them on my FB page in your name.

Preparation of Air Fryer Gratinated Squid

  • First, clean the squid by removing all the waste, separating the hoods from the sacs, cut the sacs into rings about 1.5 cm wide, wash everything well and let them drain in a colander with a bowl underneath.
    Place them in the fridge.
In a bowl, put the breadcrumbs, add the dried or fresh chopped parsley, grated garlic, salt, pepper, and oil, mix everything well.
Wash and cut the cherry tomatoes, add them to the seasoned breadcrumbs

  • …..take the fish that was set aside and pour them into all the seasoning.
Take the air fryer and cover the bottom with a sheet of foil and another on top of parchment paper, create a base and put the squid on taking them with your hands, so as not to carry too much breadcrumbs.
Arrange them well inside the basket, cover with a sheet of foil and insert everything into the fryer, set at a temperature of 392°F for 25 minutes…….

  • …..then remove the foil, stir the fish and reinsert the basket for another 10 minutes or so.
Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the basket, as if the squid has space they will cook faster, but if they are tight it will take longer.
Complete cooking and enjoy your meal.
