The peas farmer style are a side dish very appreciated by my husband, and now my youngest son has joined in, so I prepare them often.
I call them this way because once the dishes were made with simple ingredients that were grown in home gardens or in the countryside where there were real plots of products all grown naturally for the whole family.
I prefer to eat the peas raw, which is why I buy them frozen, otherwise they won’t make it to the cooking stage.
Then, if in summer we are lucky enough to pick them from our gardens and freeze them as a stock for winter, well, that’s really a great fortune, as you gain both in flavor and genuineness.
Peas can be combined with many main dishes, both meat and fish.
They cook in an acceptable time and are therefore suitable even for those with limited time.
