Valentine’s Day Pizza

The Valentine’s Day pizza is a simple and cute idea to make for Valentine’s day, for a cozy dinner for two at home.
I made it with margherita and onion flavor, but of course, you can choose your own flavor.
The Valentine’s Day pizza is made with a classic pizza dough base that I will describe, but obviously, if you’re in a hurry, you can buy ready-made pizza dough and then top it to your taste.
This dough will make 2 heart-shaped pizzas.
My pizza was very appreciated, and I recommend you make it for your sweetheart… I’m sure they will love it!

Ingredients for Making Valentine’s Day Pizza

Ingredients for 2 pizzas

  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 0.35 oz Fresh yeast
  • 1.25 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Large onion
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 7 oz Canned tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • to taste Oregano
  • 0.3 cup Mozzarella

Tools

  • 1 Mold Heart-shaped baking pan

Preparation of Valentine’s Day Pizza

  • First, dissolve the yeast in warm water, add a bit of all-purpose flour, then the salt, the oil, and continue adding the remaining flour, including Manitoba flour, mixing until you achieve a compact non-sticky dough.

Let it rise in a warm, covered place for at least 2 hours.

Meanwhile, julienne the onions and mix in a bowl with a teaspoon of salt, leave them in the bowl for at least 30 minutes, then drain them in a colander for about an hour.

Prepare the tomato by passing it through a food mill and season it with salt, extra virgin olive oil, and oregano.

Once the dough has risen, place it on a floured work surface and knead it until it becomes a non-sticky ball.

Divide into two balls, keeping aside a small piece of dough for dividing the pizzas, and let rise for another hour.

After the time has passed, grease two heart-shaped pans and spread the two balls adapting them to the shape, keeping in mind that the dough should not be too thin.

At this point, create two cords with the reserved dough to divide the pizzas as shown in the photo.

Top the pizzas, putting the previously seasoned tomato on one half and crumbled mozzarella and then the drained onion on the other half.
