Stew in Sauce with Potatoes

The stew in sauce with potatoes is a really good dish. Generally, I prepare it when I cook stew in sauce for Sunday lunch, making extra to have leftovers so that in the evening I simply add the potatoes and dinner is ready.
A dish that pleases everyone, making the meat very tender and exceptionally delicious.

Ingredients for Stew in Sauce with Potatoes

  • 1.3 lbs Veal Stew (the most tender cut)
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Onion
  • 14 oz Chopped peeled tomatoes
  • 6 Medium potatoes

Preparation of Stew in Sauce with Potatoes

  • Take a non-stick pan, add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, the chopped or diced onion, and lightly sauté. Add the meat and let it season for a few minutes over medium heat.
    Add the chopped tomatoes passed through a sieve and adjust the salt.

  • Let it cook for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Once the time has passed, peel the potatoes, wash them, and cut them into medium-large pieces, add them to the stew, cover everything with water, add a little more salt, pepper, and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.

  • If necessary, add more water during cooking.
    Plate and serve.
