Stuffed Turkey Roll

The stuffed turkey roll is a great main course and especially a different idea for cooking turkey, which being a white and bland meat, we must always find ways to flavor it and make our guests happy. You can prepare it in advance and leave it in the fridge until cooking time, indeed in this way it will have time to absorb flavors and we will have a better result. I stuffed it with spinach, but if you prefer you can use another vegetable. Follow the recipe and create your own stuffed turkey roll.

If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos and I will publish them on my page with your name.
Follow my recipe and you will see that it will really be a great success.

Ingredients

  • 2.1 lbs Turkey breast (whole)
  • 5.3 oz Spinach (frozen)
  • 3.5 oz Sheep ricotta
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Nutmeg
  • 2 tbsps Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic

Preparation of the Stuffed Turkey Roll

  • Lay out the turkey breast, cutting it to make it a fairly wide and thick slice as seen in the photo, then place a sheet of cling film over it and use a meat tenderizer to flatten it a bit.

Cook the spinach that has been thawed at least a little, place the garlic cloves in a pan with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, fry lightly, then add the spinach, salt, and pepper to taste, let it cook for a few minutes, then turn off the heat, remove the garlic cloves and let it cool.

Once cooled, pass them in a blender and blend for a few seconds together with the ricotta and powdered nutmeg.

  • At this point, sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper, then spread the spinach mixture over it and roll the meat onto itself from the wider side, tie the roll with kitchen string.

  • Place the roll in a baking pan with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and let it cook on the stove just to brown it slightly on all sides, then cover it and transfer it to the oven and let it cook for about 1 hour and ½ at 392°F.

Once cooked, remove the string and cut the roll into slices, in this way it will be ready to be served.

My name is Francesca Mele, and "Lo scrigno del buongusto" is the name of my blog. I am a true Abruzzese, and after several years with a cooking website, I decided to start a blog. I have been online for a total of 12 years now, so many of you have known me for a long time! I love cooking and I am neither a chef nor a professional cook; I simply have a passion for cooking, preparing, and inventing new dishes. The recipes you find on my blog are not copied, and even the photos are not downloaded from the internet; they are my own.
