Soft hamburger buns are really delicious both to fill with the classic hamburger and to eat simply.
They are buns of American origin, where they are commonly filled in every way and are common in fast food.
I don’t like filled buns like hamburgers, but these buns without filling and consumed differently, yes.
For example, I eat them plain as a bread substitute, or filled with something sweet they will be delicious, I recommend doing it.
Even in Italy nowadays they are easily found in supermarkets, but personally, like the vast majority of things consumed in my home, I don’t buy products from the supermarket that I can make myself, both for the quality of the product and for satisfaction.
They are simple to make and uniquely delicious, try them and you’ll tell me!
If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos that I will publish on my page with your name.

- 3.5 tbsp Softened butter
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Honey
- 0.5 oz Salt
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Bread flour
- 1 Egg yolk
- 3 tbsp Milk

Preparation of Soft Hamburger Buns
In a stand mixer or bowl, dissolve the fresh yeast in warm water, then add sugar, honey, bread flour, warm milk, and mix well.
Next, add the softened butter, salt, and all-purpose flour, working the dough well until you get a soft, smooth, and well-combined dough.
Let the dough rise in a large bowl covered with plastic wrap in the oven with the light on for 2-3 hours or until doubled.
After rising, place the dough on a work surface and knead it to form a ball, then divide it into 80-84 g (about 3 oz) dough pieces to obtain 10 well-rounded balls.
Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise again for at least 1 hour.
After rising, create a mixture with the egg yolk and milk and brush it on the buns, then sprinkle them with sesame or poppy seeds
