ORANGE AND CARDAMOM COOKIES INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 orange zest
  • 4 tbsp orange juice
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 1.5 g cardamom (powder)
  • 1 pinch salt

ORANGE AND CARDAMOM COOKIES PREPARATION

In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar, salt, oil, and orange juice with a hand whisk.

  • Mix the flour with the baking powder and the cardamom powder, then add it to the rest.

  • Knead briefly until you get a homogeneous mixture and transfer it to the work surface. Form a rectangle about two inches wide and half an inch thick or a little more.

  • Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and then in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes. Remove the roll from the oven, let it cool for five minutes.

  • While still warm, cut it into slices one inch thick.
    Re-bake the slices for 10-12 minutes, turning them halfway through, so they become crispy.

  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool very well on a rack.
