- 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
- 6 asparagus (or thin asparagus)
- 6 slices speck
- 1 egg yolk
- to taste sesame seeds

Steps
To make the Asparagus and Speck Breadsticks, first remove the toughest part of the asparagus stems, wash them, and quickly blanch them in a wide pot, whole.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut out strips about 1.5 inches wide from the long side.
Place a slice of speck on each strip.
Wrap the asparagus well, turning the puff pastry and speck around its stalk and leaving the tip free.
Brush with egg yolk and garnish with a little sesame.
Alternatively, you can use grated cheese or flax seeds.
Bake in a preheated fan oven at 356°F for 25 minutes.
The surface should be golden; if it is still too light, extend the baking time by one or two minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
