Easter Savory Dove Bread without Rising Time

Easter Savory Dove Bread without rising time, a savory treat (not a classic savory cake but truly a treat) ideal for Easter and picnics, easy to make, rich in ingredients you can alternate or use as you wish.

Keep the dove base with flour, eggs, milk, oil, and yeast and then fill it as you like.

It won’t be the classic cake that puffs up during rising but will always maintain a very rustic appearance with an enticing and appetizing aroma.

Below, I leave you my ideal savory recipes for Easter that are easy to make.

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Cheap
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 1 750 g dove mold
  • Cooking methods: Boiling, Electric Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Easter

Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz artichokes, cooked, boiled (Cleaned or frozen)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • cup milk
  • cup sunflower seed oil
  • 1 packet instant yeast for savory preparations
  • tsp fine salt
  • 4.2 oz provolone cheese (mild)
  • 4.2 oz mortadella
  • 3.5 oz salami (type cacciatorino)
  • 1.4 oz cheese (grated)

Tools

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Pot
  • 1 Colander
  • 1 Bowl

Steps

  • To make the Easter Savory Dove Bread without rising time, first blanch the artichokes (I recommend using cleaned and frozen ones) for 10 minutes in unsalted water.

    Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, dice the provolone, mortadella, and salami.

In a bowl, combine the flour with the eggs.

  • Then add the milk and the sunflower seed oil.

  • At this point, you can either mix these ingredients or work them all together as I did.
Add the blanched and cooled artichokes, the diced provolone, mortadella, salami, grated cheese, yeast, and mix.

  • Then add the salt and mix well again.

  • Pour into a slightly greased and floured dove mold and level.

Garnish with flax seeds (you can also skip them or use another garnish as you like).

  • Cook in a preheated ventilated oven at 355°F for 45 minutes.

Let cool before cutting and serving.
