To prepare this magical powder, I used the VitaDry Pro Home Dehydrator by Cecotec. 5 trays: maximize drying space with 5 removable and height-adjustable trays. Perfect dehydration easily and precisely through the digital display, offering you full control of temperature and time.

In the absence of a dehydrator, you can use an air fryer or the home oven.

ORANGE POWDER INGREDIENTS

  • as needed orange peel
  • as needed mandarin peel

Tools

  • 1 Dehydrator

ORANGE POWDER PREPARATION

Wash the oranges thoroughly, peel them thinly with a peeler so as not to cut the white part which is bitter.

  • Place the peels inside the dehydrator trays and set to 122°F-131°F for about 5/6 hours. Remember that drying time depends on various variables: thickness and humidity mainly.

With a traditional oven: 122°F-140°F for about an hour and leave them there until they are very cold.

  • With the air fryer: 284°F for 15 minutes and then let cool.

  • When the peels are completely dry and cold, place them in the mixer and grind them finely until you get the powder.

  • Store the powder in well-sealed glass jars.
