CREAMY SWIRLED CINNAMON ICE CREAM

Cinnamon ice cream has a spicy and pleasant taste and is perfect for ending a lunch or dinner. It’s very easy to prepare and truly delicious, with cinnamon and vanilla easily recognizable. Moreover, it’s a perfect dessert even during the Christmas holidays. It’s super creamy and doesn’t freeze!

For this recipe, I used the tasty McVitie’s Digestive biscuits included in this month’s Degustabox.

CINNAMON ICE CREAM INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups whipping cream (fresh)
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 biscuits (plain or cinnamon)

Tools

  • 1 Electric Whisk
  • 1 Loaf Pan

CINNAMON ICE CREAM PREPARATION

Whip the cream at high speed in a cold bowl until bubbles start to form.

  • At this point, add the sugar and vanilla while continuing to whip until the cream is very stiff.

  • Set aside in the fridge.

  • Take 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk (from the total) and place it in a small bowl, add the cinnamon, mix to combine, and then set aside.

  • Now, fold the remaining sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream gently using a spatula, being careful not to deflate the mixture.

  • Pour half of the cream mixture into the mold. Drizzle a spoonful of the cinnamon-infused condensed milk over it and create a “swirled” effect using a toothpick.

  • Crumble 2/3 biscuits over the mixture, then pour the remaining cream mixture on top. Again, drizzle cinnamon-infused condensed milk creating a swirled effect and crumble 2/3 more biscuits.

  • Cover the surface with foil and freeze for at least 4/5 hours before serving.
