PUFF PASTRY ROLL INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 5.3 oz cooked ham
  • 3.5 oz provola cheese
  • 5.3 oz potatoes
  • to taste milk
  • to taste nutmeg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • to taste sesame seeds
  • 5.3 oz gorgonzola cheese

PUFF PASTRY ROLL PREPARATION

  • Boil the potatoes, slice the provola, and roll out the sheet of rectangular puff pastry (without removing the parchment paper).

  • Spread the gorgonzola over the puff pastry.

  • Then layer the cooked ham.

  • Meanwhile, make a puree with the boiled potatoes: mash the potatoes, adjust the salt, and add a bit of milk and nutmeg. Mix everything.

  • Spread the puree over the layer of cooked ham, then place the slices of provola in the center.

  • Now roll up the puff pastry (from the shorter side) with the help of the parchment paper and place the roll in a loaf pan. Brush the roll with a bit of egg yolk.

  • Sprinkle the sesame seeds.

  • Now bake at 392°F for 30 minutes (preheated static oven).

  • Once cooked, take it out of the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
