  • For this recipe, the first thing we need to do is clean the fish. Take the calamari, clean them by removing the innards and skin, you can have them cleaned by the fishmonger for convenience or to speed up the dish. Cut the calamari into rings and put them on a plate, pour some olive oil on top. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix: breadcrumbs, grated lemon zest, Grana Padano, salt, and parsley.

Now clean the peppers, remove the stalk, seeds, and internal filaments from the peppers and cut them into strips.

Put the peppers and calamari in the bowl and mix well, make sure to coat well by shaking the rings in the breading which should also stick inside the rings.

Now move both peppers and calamari to a lightly oiled baking sheet.

Turn on the oven to 350°F fan function.

Place the baking sheet on the center rack of the oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Serve the baked calamari and peppers au gratin hot, crunchy, and delicious, a quick and tasty second course.
