Today we prepare a very soft orange cake, a dessert with an enveloping aroma and a fresh citrus flavor.

ORANGE CAKE
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs (Medium size)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6.8 oz orange juice
- orange zest
- 1 packet baking powder
Steps
To prepare our fragrant orange cake, first squeeze the oranges to obtain 6.8 oz of juice and set aside.
In a bowl, break the eggs, add the sugar and beat with an electric whisk until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
Add the orange juice and zest, the cream, and continue to beat.
At this point, gradually add the previously sifted flour and mix it into the mixture using a spatula with movements from bottom to top to keep the mixture from deflating.
Lastly, add the sifted baking powder and mix well.
Pour the mixture into a 9-inch diameter pan, previously buttered and floured.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35/40 minutes. Always do the toothpick test to check for doneness.
Remove from the oven, let cool on a wire rack, a bit of powdered sugar and voilà, orange cake ready to be enjoyed at any time of the day 😋
