- to taste milk
- 7 oz oz mascarpone
- 1 1/4 cups cups fresh heavy cream
- 2/3 cup cup powdered sugar
- 6 Gianduiotti
- to taste Sugar hearts
Steps
To prepare the sweet hearts, first turn on the oven and preheat it to 390°F.
Unroll the sheet of puff pastry and with a heart-shaped cutter, cut out 12 hearts, leave 6 hearts whole while the remaining 6 cut a hole in the center with a smaller heart cutter than the first.
Place a holed heart on top of a whole heart. Do the same for the remaining 5 hearts.
Brush the top layer of puff pastry with milk and prick the inside with a fork.
Bake the hearts for about 10 minutes until they are golden. Add a Gianduiotto in the center of each heart and return to the oven to melt it.
Remove the hearts from the oven and let everything cool on a rack.
In the meantime, prepare the mascarpone cream.
Place the mascarpone, powdered sugar, and cream in a bowl. Beat with electric whisks until everything is combined and the cream gains volume.
Place a dollop of mascarpone cream in the center of each little heart and decorate as you like.
