Ingredients to prepare Sardines in the air fryer

  • 12 sardines
  • 4 breadcrumbs (about 4 tbsp / 1/4 cup)
  • Half clove garlic
  • to taste parsley
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste lemon zest
  • to taste extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • as needed flour

How to make Sardines in the air fryer

  • Let’s start preparing the Sardines in the air fryer: clean the sardines, open them and wash them well. Put some breadcrumbs on a plate, add chopped parsley and garlic, pepper and salt, grated lemon zest and extra-virgin olive oil; mix to obtain a sandy, slightly moist mixture.

  • Pour the eggs into a plate and beat them with a fork.

  • Coat the sardines lightly in flour on both sides.

  • Then pass them through the beaten egg.

  • And finally coat them in the seasoned breadcrumbs.

  • Place the breaded sardines in the basket of the air fryer.

  • Spray some oil with the mister.
