After Easter I always end up with mountains of chocolate from the eggs 😅 and instead of leaving it there, I decided to transform it into this spoon dessert Nutella and chocolate, and it was one of the most indulgent ideas ever!

This simple 3-ingredient mousse is a classic among the most loved single-portion desserts: it comes together very quickly and the result is a soft, velvety, super-indulgent cream. It really takes very little to get a restaurant-style dessert at home.

Ingredients

  • 7 fl oz (about 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp) plant-based whipping cream (or whichever cream you prefer)
  • 2 tbsp Nutella®
  • 3 oz chocolate (from Easter eggs, with hazelnuts)
  • hazelnut pieces (optional)
  • 12 cocoa cookies (optional)

Steps

  • Break the chocolate from the Easter eggs into pieces. Melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave in short bursts.

  • Whip the very cold cream until you obtain a soft, stable texture.
    Set aside a few tablespoons if you want a prettier final decoration.

  • In one bowl, mix the Nutella with half of the cream and in another bowl mix the melted chocolate with the remaining cream.

  • Crumble some cookies on the bottom of the cups and make the first layer with the Nutella mixture, then a layer of crumbs and finally the chocolate mousse layer.

  • Decorate with hazelnut pieces and chocolate shards. Refrigerate until serving.
