Mixed Canapés for Appetizer

Another crostino for the aperitif today with these simple and delicious mixed canapés for appetizer without cooking!

SO….we can make the base of these canapés with slices of baguette toasted in the oven like I did, with grilled sandwich bread or using those boat-shaped croutons you find at the supermarket, both classic and wholemeal.

Honestly speaking, I had frozen some slices of baguette bought at Aldi near my house on Via Dozza and I thought of using them by placing them in the oven for 5 minutes at 428°F.

It’s one of the many appetizers we can make for the savory finger food buffet for the upcoming holidays, but they will be very appreciated at any time of the year, for sure!

Always on the subject of appetizers, you’ll find more recipes just below:

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 People
  • Cooking methods: No cooking
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 slices bread (grilled or ready-made croutons)
  • 2 slices prosciutto crudo
  • 2 slices camembert
  • 2 slices primo sale cheese
  • 3 cherry tomatoes (diced)
  • 1/2 avocado (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 sprays extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 walnut kernel (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 slices smoked salmon
  • to taste parsley
  • to taste dill

TOOLS

  • Knives
  • Trays

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE MIXED CANAPÉS FOR APPETIZER RECIPE

  • to assemble everything.

On all the croutons, I indiscriminately put a drop of evo oil using the spray to avoid excess fat and not to soften the golden crust.

FOR THE FIRST CROSTINO FROM THE LEFT IN THE PHOTO, I place a slice of primo sale cheese, then a spoonful of diced cherry tomatoes, and a little coarsely chopped walnut kernel with my fingers. A parsley leaf and let’s move to the second crostino!

  • FOR THE CROSTINO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOTO I spread some cream cheese on the base, then add a slice of smoked salmon and some thinly sliced avocado. A sprig of dill and let’s conclude with the third crostino!

  • FOR THE CROSTINO ON THE RIGHT in the photo, I place a slice of camembert (or brie if you prefer), diced cherry tomatoes, and a rolled slice of prosciutto. Could I leave the crostino without “green”? IMPOSSIBLE…so arugula leaves and…enjoy your meal!
