A simple idea for an appetizer with stuffed rolls for the aperitif, delicious pinwheels with two different tastes, one with gorgonzola and arugula, and the other with tomato sauce, arugula and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan.
I had a package of ready-made focaccia base in the fridge, and instead of making a rustic, I thought of dividing it in half and using what little I had at home to make savory stuffed rolls for the aperitif.
These are simple ideas but they can be prepared in a short time for a savory snack or for a rich buffet of appetizers.

- 3 walnut halves (broken by hand)
- 3.5 oz tomato sauce

- to taste pepper

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE STUFFED ROLLS FOR THE APPETIZER RECIPE
Roll out the package on a work surface and divide the dough into two halves.
On one part, spread the gorgonzola as evenly as possible, then add broken arugula leaves and the coarsely crumbled walnut halves.
On the other half, spread the cherry tomato sauce, add some arugula stems and the grated Parmesan.
Add extra virgin olive oil over both fillings and season with salt and pepper.
Roll the ready-made focaccia from the longer side, then after leaving it in the freezer for a few minutes, cut it into pinwheels and place them evenly spaced on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Now bake at 375/400°F for about 25 minutes, always checking the cooking and possibly turning the rolls to the other side for even cooking.
Once cooked, let them cool and then serve at the table, maybe with other appetizers that I can prepare in the cooking time of these savory rolls!
Enjoy your meal! Annalisa
