Calling this the quick savory Christmas balls appetizer recipe would be a lie. Let’s call it a SMART little idea to prepare a cute and tasty finger food, even though I don’t like associating smartness with cooking!
I used pretzel sticks but we can use a breadstick, I added a mix of crumbs to wrap and seal the quick savory Christmas balls appetizer, but we could also add chopped cranberries and other dried fruits like small pieces of apricots, and I must say they fit perfectly, give them a try!
It’s mandatory to make these cheese Christmas ball finger foods in advance because leaving them in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap gives them time to compact and they will be very pleasant to taste.
P.S. I used only one package of goat cheese because, as those who kindly follow me know, my family is small and I don’t want to waste food or eat by force!

PREPARATION FOR QUICK SAVORY CHRISTMAS BALLS APPETIZER
wear disposable food-safe gloves because otherwise with the goat cheese it becomes a VERY unhygienic mess!
Then in a small bowl, put the goat cheese and season it with salt and pepper.
If you want, add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, I didn’t, but it fits great!
Then I make balls (wearing disposable food gloves) with my 80 grams package and made 6, but I didn’t weigh them, sorry!
In a plate, I put the MIXED nuts crumbs of my choice and gently try to coat the cheese Christmas finger food balls.
Wash and dry some chive blades and make a bow … I can make a real bow using a piece of pretzel as a base for the twist or overlap pieces of chive for 1.5 inches and then stick it into the quick Christmas appetizer ball using the breadstick as a pin …
When tasting the appetizer and bringing it to the table, place each savory Christmas ball on a cracker, so it’s much more convenient and cleaner to eat!
I don’t know … reading it over it seems like a mess, but I’m sure you understood, right???
END of the recipe … the savory CHRISTMAS cheese balls are ready to be put in the fridge to firm up until it’s time to serve them on top of a cracker as written above!
TASTY AND VERY CUTE, RIGHT???
Bon appetit! Annalisa

ABOUT A SMART RECIPE HERE’S THE SAVORY HEDGEHOG SNACK with a base made from a bread roll type rosette, a snout made with half a lemon, and cloves for eyes…

Put marinated vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, vegetables, buffalo mozzarella balls, quail eggs … really, create it to your liking!
Recipe seen on Cucina Naturale: you can eliminate the goat cheese if it’s too strong for your taste and use cream cheese or robiola or ricotta or a mix of all these.
REMINDER: Leave the savory Christmas balls in the refrigerator to firm up before serving them at the table. The “stem” (I don’t know its actual name) should only be put in just before serving, or it will get soggy and definitely not appetizing!
