QUICK MOZZARELLA SKEWERS

The quick mozzarella skewers are an idea, not a real recipe, for an appetizer that can be prepared in 5 minutes and can complete a buffet of finger food for any meal or holiday.

I saw the idea on Pinterest and shamelessly copied it in no time!

My son said it’s too delicate, and maybe he’s right, so if you want to listen to the young critic at home, skewer the mozzarella bites with the prosciutto rose, then add just a drop of pesto on the dairy product or, instead of basil, place a strip of sun-dried tomato in oil but well-drained and patted dry….

So if you have other ideas for mixed appetizers for your lunch or dinner, leave the finger food skewers as they are, light and with a classic taste, or season and flavor them as I suggested!

On the blog, there are many recipes for quick and economical mixed appetizers and I also suggest:

  • Cost: Very cheap
  • Rest time: 1 Minute
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: as desired
  • Cooking methods: No cooking
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients for QUICK MOZZARELLA SKEWERS

  • as needed mozzarella balls
  • as needed basil
  • as needed prosciutto (I cut each slice in half to make the roses)

Tools for QUICK MOZZARELLA SKEWERS

#ADV

  • Paper towels
  • Knives
  • Scissors
  • Toothpicks

FOR THE PREPARATION OF QUICK MOZZARELLA SKEWERS

  • would you mind if I explain the recipe since it’s a no-brainer?????????

Anyway, I drain the mozzarella balls from their preserving liquid, pat them dry with kitchen paper towels, and leave them on a surface.

  • I divide each slice of prosciutto with a knife or kitchen scissors and roll each half, helping myself with my index finger, at least that’s how I do it!

  • I separate the small leaves from a basil sprig, choosing the smallest ones and cleaning them with a damp paper towel.

  • Now all there’s left to do is make the quick mozzarella basil and prosciutto skewers and serve them at the table!

If they stay in the refrigerator for some time, cover them with transparent food wrap and be careful of the liquid they will form…

    Enjoy your meal!
