- 1.75 lbs red cabbage (cleaned)
- 1.4 oz brown sugar
- 0.9 oz granulated sugar
- 1.4 oz butter
- 2 tsp fine salt

Steps
To make the sweet and sour red cabbage, first remove the toughest part of the cabbage stalk.
Cut it in half, remove the tougher outer leaves, and slice it into strips.
Place it in a bowl with cold water for 10 minutes.
Wash and drain it.
In a large pan, melt the butter and add the cabbage.
Sauté for a minute and deglaze with vinegar.
Stir.
Add both types of sugar.
Mix again.
Add the salt, stir and cover with a lid.
Cook for about another 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
You can serve it as you prefer, or prepare it in advance and reheat as needed.
