CRUMBLED APPLE MUFFINS PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 356°F and place the muffin liners in the muffin tin.
Peel 13 oz of apple. Caramelize the apples: in a skillet add 7 oz of diced apple, the butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 6-7 minutes.
Prepare the crumble: mix the flour, sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until you get a crumbly mixture and set aside.
Prepare the muffin batter: mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix room temperature butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mix, and add milk and the remaining apple diced.
Fill the muffin molds 3/4 full, cover with caramelized apples, and then with the crumble. Bake for about 25 minutes, always do the toothpick test.
Adriana’s Tip
Cook the crumble well to make it amber and crunchy. You can also add dried fruits as you like.
