STRAWBERRY POWDER NATURAL FLAVOR

The strawberry powder is delicious, nutritious, and perfect for enriching yogurt, smoothies, creams, and many other desserts.

Drying is one of the oldest methods of food preservation. The process involves removing water. Thus, once dehydrated, strawberries become smaller, slightly crunchy, and have a more intense flavor.

Once dried, strawberries in slices or powder will keep for a long time. So you can prepare a nice stock for the winter! Just store everything in hermetically sealed glass jars.

Make sure the strawberries are firm and not too ripe or mushy.

STRAWBERRY POWDER INGREDIENTS

  • 18 oz strawberries

Tools

  • 1 Dehydrator
  • 1 Food processor

STRAWBERRY POWDER PREPARATION

First, remove the stems from the strawberries, wash them quickly under running water, and dry them well.

  • Slice them and remember that the thicker they are, the longer they will take to dry. Place them inside the dehydrator trays and set the thermostat to 140°F for about 12 hours. If you don’t have a dehydrator, place the strawberry slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The oven drying will be in fan mode at 160°F for about 6 hours.

  • Times may vary depending on the oven, the type of dehydrator, and the thickness of the slices. In any case, the strawberries must be well dehydrated.

  • Once the strawberries are ready, let them cool completely and then blend them with a food processor until reduced to powder.

  • Here is your magic powder ready, which I used to prepare the delicious fragottella. With these quantities, you will get a nice jar of powder.
