- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2.5 tbsps granulated sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking powder

Steps Carnival Party: Festive Pancakes Colorful Masks
The Pancake Masks were born after hours of chatting with friends, we wanted to bring to the table for our family, in addition to the numerous sweets that can be prepared on Mardi Gras, something different. I created a typically American recipe combined with the beauty of a playful and colorful celebration like Carnival.
Melt the butter either in the microwave for 45 seconds or in a double boiler. Beat the eggs with the sugar and add the milk. Add the melted but not hot butter and the pinch of salt, then beat well to create a homogeneous mixture. Pour in the sifted flour and baking powder and mix well. Put the mixture in a piping bag.
Prepare a mask template on parchment paper.
Heat a non-stick pan (we used a Princess Electric Crepe Maker, affiliate link) then place the parchment paper on top of the crepe maker, making sure the pencil side stays down, otherwise it will end up on the pancake. Use the piping bag to draw the shape of the mask. When bubbles form and burst on the surface, flip the pancake with a spatula to brown it on the other side, and remove it. Repeat this operation until the batter is finished.
To decorate, use honey and colorful sugar sprinkles as desired.
