Always on the THEME of quick appetizer recipes, here below are some other super easy ideas:
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 4 People
- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 4 celery (4/5 celery stalks)
- 4.2 oz gorgonzola (mild for me)
- 2.1 oz cream cheese (but also robiola, ricotta…)
- 8 walnut halves
- 1 tbsp honey (for me acacia or wildflower)
Tools
- Bowls
Quick and Tasty Appetizer
I wash and remove the strings from the celery stalks then cut them into pieces of 2/2.5 inches or as you like!
In a bowl, I mix the gorgonzola with the other creamy cheese I chose, making it quite creamy.
I then fill the celery boats using a teaspoon or a piping bag without a nozzle.
I add a coarse chop of walnut halves and some drizzles of honey to enhance the flavor and create a delicious contrast for this quick cold appetizer.
I bring to the table immediately or place in the fridge covered with cling film.
Quicker than quick, haha!
Enjoy your meal and happy cooking! Annalisa
Variations and Tips
Variations and Tips
You can lightly toast the walnuts in a small pan for a more intense flavor.
Replace gorgonzola with robiola or fresh goat cheese if you prefer a milder flavor.
A sprinkle of chives or chopped parsley will add a fresh and colorful touch.
If any are left over, you can store them in the fridge, covered, for up to 1 day.
