Mixed Appetizer Canapés

Another crostini for the aperitif today with these mixed appetizer canapés, simple, no-cook, and tasty!

SO….we can make the base of these canapés with slices of baguette toasted in the oven like I did, with toasted sandwich bread or using those boat-shaped crostini we find in the supermarket, both classic and whole wheat.

Honestly speaking, I had frozen some slices of baguette from Aldi near my house on via Dozza and decided to use them by placing them in the oven for 5 minutes at 428°F.

It’s one of the many appetizers we can make for the salty finger food buffet for the upcoming holidays, but they will be appreciated all year round, for sure!

Always on the topic of appetizers, you will find more recipes just below:

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 People
  • Cooking methods: No-Cook
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 slices bread (grilled or ready-made crostini)
  • 2 slices prosciutto crudo
  • 2 slices camembert
  • 2 slices cow's milk primo sale
  • 3 cherry tomatoes (diced)
  • 1/2 avocado (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons spreadable cheese
  • 2 sprays extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 walnut half (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 slices smoked salmon
  • to taste parsley
  • to taste dill

TOOLS

  • Knives
  • Trays

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE MIXED APPETIZER CANAPÉS RECIPE

  • to assemble everything.

On all the crostini, I indiscriminately put a spray of extra virgin olive oil using a sprayer to avoid excess fat and not to soften the golden crust.

FOR THE FIRST CROSTINI FROM THE LEFT IN THE PHOTO, I put a slice of cow’s milk primo sale, then a scoop of diced cherry tomatoes and a pinch of walnut half crushed with fingers. Parsley leaf and let’s move to the second crostini!

  • FOR THE CROSTINI IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOTO, I spread a bit of spreadable cheese on the base then add a slice of smoked salmon and some thinly sliced avocado. A sprig of dill, and let’s finish with the third crostini!

  • FOR THE CROSTINI ON THE RIGHT in the photo, I put a slice of camembert (or brie if preferred), a dice of cherry tomatoes, and a rolled slice of prosciutto. Could I leave the crostini without “green”? IMPOSSIBLE … so arugula leaves and … enjoy your meal!
