CHICKEN MEATBALLS IN THE AIR FRYER

in

Air fryer chicken meatballs is a main course that is simple and delicious, ready in a short time and popular with both grown-ups and children. Instead of buying ground chicken — which not every butcher prepares because the meat grinder requires extra cleaning precautions — I suggest doing as I do: buy chicken breast and blend it at home. The cooking time for chicken meatballs in the air fryer may vary depending on the model you use; this is the AIR FRYER I use. I recommend taking a look at 50 RECIPES FOR THE AIR FRYER and all the air fryer recipes; you’ll definitely find more delicious dishes to try. Now let’s see how to prepare the air fryer chicken meatballs, and if you try them let me know. Barbara

How to make air fryer chicken meatballs

  • Let’s start preparing the air fryer chicken meatballs: tear the dry bread into pieces and soak it in the milk for 10 minutes, then squeeze out the excess milk and place the bread in a bowl.

  • Remove any fat and small bones from the chicken breast, then cut it into pieces.

  • Put the chicken breast pieces into the blender or food processor and pulse until you have very small pieces; then transfer them to the bowl with the bread. Add the egg, chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, some salt and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

  • Mix everything well until you have a homogeneous mixture, take portions of the mixture and shape them into meatballs about the size of an apricot.

  • Arrange the meatballs in the air fryer basket, spray them with a few puffs of extra virgin olive oil and cook for 10 minutes. Open the basket, turn the meatballs and cook for another 7 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on the model of air fryer.

  • When cooked, remove the basket and take out the meatballs. Serve the air fryer chicken meatballs hot and, if you like, accompany them with sauces.
