Air Fryer Banana Chips, a convenient and practical snack to make with not overly ripe bananas, also perfect to bring to work or ideal for topping your cold breakfasts like porridge or chia pudding and even ice creams. And only one ingredient is needed!!!
It takes just a few minutes in the fryer, but be careful, the final result won’t be a dried product but rather crispy.
My advice is to make some at a time, depending on how much you plan to consume, as I haven’t determined how long they last.
If your fryer has a dehydrator function, you can also try this version, varying and surely extending the cooking times.
Below are some ideas on how to use this fruit, which is always available in grocery stores and thus easy to find.
- Difficulty: Very Easy

- Rest time: 15 Minutes
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Portions: 1
- Cooking methods: Air Frying
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All Seasons
Ingredients
- 1 banana
Tools
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting Board
- 1 Air Fryer
- 1 Parchment Paper
Steps
To make Air Fryer Banana Chips, first peel a not overly ripe banana, remove the strings, and cut it into slices about 1/8 inch thick.
Avoid making them thicker as you will get a different final result (I tried it and didn’t like it!!)
Once sliced, arrange them in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper, spacing them out, and cook at 356°F for 10-12 minutes depending on the power of your fryer.
Let them cool before removing them from the parchment paper.
