- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (not full)
- 7 tbsp butter (cold from the fridge)
- 1 tsp baking powder
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Teaspoon
- 1 Pastry Board
- 1 Fork
Steps
To prepare the cinnamon-flavored shortcrust pastry, first pour the flour into a bowl, add the powdered sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Use a fork to mix the dry ingredients.
Make a well in the center and add the butter cut into pieces, the whole egg, and the egg yolk.
Quickly mix with a fork and then continue kneading by hand.
You should obtain a sandy dough.
Pour it onto a pastry board and knead it quickly by hand, gathering all the dough on the table until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough ball.
Wrap the dough ball in a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
After this time, take the dough ball and knead it again very quickly to restore its softness and create the recipe you prefer.
