Crispy Chips with Parmesan Rinds in Air Fryer

Crispy chips with Parmesan rinds in air fryer, with just one ingredient, ready in six minutes of cooking, an easy and quick snack ideal as a treat and for recovery! A truly delicious appetizer, perfect to share with friends on any occasion. Ideal hot, straight from the fryer, these chips are also delicious cold. I had this idea in mind for some time, and working at a deli counter, this ingredient often comes to hand. And here it is starring in my recipe. Parmesan rinds are also excellent melted in any soup or broth, but made this way, they will literally blow your mind. The advice is to clean them well and make them into similar-sized rectangles for even cooking, although, with the air fryer, this difference is less noticeable. Below I leave you other recipes with Parmesan as the main ingredient, while at the end of the recipe, complete with step-by-step photos, you will find some answers to the most common questions.

  • Cost: Very economical
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 people
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 7 oz Parmesan rinds

Tools

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Air fryer parchment paper
  • 1 Air fryer

Steps

  • To make crispy chips with Parmesan rinds in an air fryer, first, you need to clean the cheese rinds very well, which is actually the only operation that requires a few minutes and patience, as the cooking is very quick in the air fryer.

  • With a sharp knife, scrape the cheese rind thoroughly, being careful not to hurt yourself. Clean them with dry absorbent paper.

  • Cut the rinds into squares or rectangles as similar as possible for even cooking.

  • Arrange the obtained rinds in the air fryer basket lined with the appropriate parchment paper, trying not to overlap them.

  • Cook at 392°F for 6 minutes or until the desired crispiness, turning them halfway through cooking.

  • I recommend enjoying them hot or warm in all their fragrance, but if you want to prepare ahead, you can clean and cut them as indicated above and store them in the refrigerator wrapped in a cloth for up to 48 hours, cooking them at the moment.
