Ingredients
- 10.5 oz butternut squash (Cleaned)
- 0.25 cups cornmeal (instant polenta is fine too)
- 2 tbsps sunflower seed oil
- 1.5 tsp fine salt (my mushroom-flavored one)

Steps
To make the microwave cooked pumpkin sticks, first remove the skin from the butternut squash and, if present, remove the seeds and fibers with the help of a spoon.
Cut the pumpkin into not-too-large sticks.
Place the sticks in a large bowl and add half of the sunflower seed oil.
Add the cornmeal, fine salt, ground black pepper, and mix well.
Pour the pumpkin onto a crisp plate for microwave cooking, make sure all the sticks have well absorbed the cornmeal and add the remaining half of the oil.
Bake in the microwave at maximum power (mine is 1000w) for 7 minutes, in two rounds, checking the cooking and extending it by a minute if necessary.

You can cook the microwave-cooked pumpkin sticks in a traditional electric oven, proceeding in the same manner to make the recipe. Preheat the fan oven, bring it to 350°F and bake the sticks for 20 minutes or until they are tender.
