Smoked Maldon Salt Gratinated Pumpkin, a simple yet delicious recipe with a special ingredient, the SMOKED MALDON SALT. I literally started to love this ingredient as soon as I opened the package. At that moment a strong autumn scent enveloped me and I immediately thought of pairing it with my Delica pumpkins waiting there, on the pantry shelf. In a few, simple steps and with quick cooking in an air fryer, I created a truly tasty and dynamic side dish. Below I leave you some pumpkin recipes and, at the end of the recipe, I answer the most common questions.

Ingredients
- 7 oz pumpkin (Sliced, peeled)
- 0.35 oz smoked salt
- 3.5 oz extra virgin olive oil
- 2.8 oz gluten-free breadcrumbs
Tools
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Air fryer paper
- 1 Air fryer
- 1 Small bowl
- 1 Spoon
Steps
To make the Smoked Maldon Salt Gratinated Pumpkin, first remove the seeds from the chosen pumpkin.
Cut it into not too thin slices.
Peel off the skin with a knife.
In this recipe, I used MALDON smoked salt, but you can replace it with the quality and type of salt you prefer.
Pour the salt into a bowl with the extra virgin olive oil.
Stir until the salt almost dissolves in the oil and let it rest for 10 minutes.
While the oil is infusing, place the pumpkin slices inside the air fryer basket lined with the appropriate parchment paper. Then distribute the oil and salt mix over all the slices, using a spoon.
Sprinkle the surface of the pumpkin slices with breadcrumbs. Here, too, you can choose whichever you want.
Bake in the air fryer at 347°F for about 10 minutes. The pumpkin should be firm yet soft to the cut, so it shouldn’t fall apart. As with various cooking methods using different appliances, find what works best for you. Times are purely indicative, but they vary only slightly.
This recipe is a perfect side dish to accompany lean meats or fish, but it can also be enjoyed on its own.

Can I prepare the recipe the day before?
Of course, you can prepare it beforehand, cook it and reheat it later. Or prepare it and cook it the next day. The more the salt and oil infuse, the better it will be.
Can I cook it in the oven?
Certainly, after arranging the slices and proceeding as described above, you can cook it in a preheated ventilated oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes.
