Soft Alchermes Cookies

These cookies are so good that one leads to another.

On my blog, you’ll find many versions of soft cookies, but my favorite is this one, too delicious and irresistible, Soft Coffee Cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 2 tablespoons alchermes
  • as needed powdered sugar (for the final decoration)

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Teaspoon
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Parchment paper

Steps

  • To make the Soft Alchermes Cookies, first in a large bowl, pour the flour and add the sugar, baking powder, alchermes, and sunflower oil.

  • Add the egg.

  • Mix the ingredients first with a spoon or a fork and then quickly by hand.

  • To make round cookies, form balls and then gently press them into the powdered sugar.

    Then place them on the parchment paper, spacing them apart.

  • To form hearts, make smaller balls, elongate one end to form a teardrop shape, and repeat with another half.

    Join them to form the heart.

    Roll it in powdered sugar and place it on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 356°F (180°C) for 15 minutes.

    Remove and let cool on the baking sheet before enjoying them.
