Sweet and sour chicken thighs and potatoes, for the #polloarrostoday in collaboration with the Geekooking blog by Luca who created this magnificent sweet and sour sauce to garnish and flavor chicken thighs, so delicious!
This year, on the occasion of the roast chicken day on October 2, a day that also celebrates Grandparents’ Day, for the event, to be done in pairs, I asked Luca, my son, to help me in this collaboration.
And obviously, I couldn’t have made a better choice because my son loves cooking just like me, but he has many simple, fresh, and innovative ideas.
Below I leave you my best chicken recipes and I hope that on October 2, 2023, you will follow all my ideas for this extraordinary day on all my social networks.

- 1 Brush
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
Steps
To make the sweet and sour chicken thighs and potatoes, first, prepare the sauce with my collaboration with Geekooking.
To prepare the sweet and sour sauce, pour the soy sauce into a bowl.
Add the sesame seeds, sugar, and finally, the tomato paste.
Mix very well until you obtain a homogeneous sauce.
Meanwhile, coat the chicken thighs in flour, breading them on all sides.
I used chicken thighs, but you can use any parts you prefer.
Wash, dry, and cut the potatoes into wedges.
Let them rest in salted water until ready to use.
Place the chicken thighs in a large baking dish with a drizzle of oil at the bottom.
Distribute the potatoes well.
Brush the sauce over the chicken and potatoes, distributing it well and evenly.
Bake in a preheated fan oven at 385°F for about 90 minutes, turning the chicken and potatoes from time to time during cooking.
Serve the dish hot.
