Sweet dove without leavening and without butter in the dough, soft and delicious, with all the scents of classic doves.
A simple recipe to make perfect for breakfast on holidays and not only, also great to make in disposable dove molds or in classic 9.45 inch cake pans.
Below, I leave you instead the recipe for the long-leavening dove.
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Rest time: 1 Hour
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: Dove mold or round 9.45-inch pan
- Cooking methods: Electric oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Easter
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sunflower oil
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 vial almond flavor (Or to taste)
- 1 vial orange flavor
- 3 tbsps potato starch
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Whisk
- 1 Mold
Steps
To prepare the Sweet Dove Without Leavening, in a bowl work the eggs with the sugar.
Add the milk and sunflower oil.
Instead of the latter, you can use the same quantity of melted butter.
Add the flavors and mix.
Now add the powders, starting with the potato starch.
Continue by adding the flour and baking powder.
Mix.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mold and level.
To taste we can decorate the surface with granulated sugar and dark chocolate chips. A great idea would also be to use the chocolate from Easter eggs.
Bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 356°F for 30 minutes, doing the toothpick test to check for doneness.
If it comes out dry, the Sweet Dove Without Leavening is ready.
Let it cool well before removing it from the mold.
