Ingredients
- 4 fillets fresh sea bream, fillets (already deboned)
- 3 potatoes (medium)
- as needed salt
- as needed pepper
- as needed extra virgin olive oil
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 lemon zest
- as needed dried mixed herbs (I use thyme and marjoram)
Steps
I used thawed fish fillets; if you want to cook them from frozen, cook them alone in the oven for 5 minutes, then proceed with the recipe.
Start by thoroughly washing the potatoes, dry them, and if you use new potatoes, there’s no need to peel them, but if you use another type, peel them well.
Grate the potatoes with a coarse grater and collect the grated pulp in a clean cloth, then squeeze well to remove the excess water from the potatoes.
Put the potatoes in a bowl, then season them with salt, pepper, dried herbs, chopped fresh parsley, grated lemon zest, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Mix to flavor.
Take the fish fillets, place them skin-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, don’t add oil or other fats, just place the fillets directly on top.
If you like, you can season the fish with a pinch of salt and pepper, but just a pinch, and cover them well with the seasoned potatoes; the fish should be completely covered.
Bake the fillets in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes; if cooking in an air fryer, set it to 375°F (190°C) for about 16 minutes. Once cooked, serve them hot and crispy on the outside at the table; you’ll taste how good they are and see how simple it is to prepare them!
