The secret to the creamy Nutella that doesn’t sink is in the batter, which is made without adding oil and butter, but with lots of yogurt, making it super creamy before baking and super soft once baked.

- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 9.5-inch mold
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 5.6 oz granulated sugar
- 1 cup plain natural yogurt (creamy)
- 10.6 oz all-purpose flour
- 0.56 oz baking powder
- 8 tablespoons Nutella (or other filling)
Steps
To prepare the Nutella cake with yogurt, start by breaking the eggs into a bowl, add the sugar and use an electric mixer to whip everything together until you get a nice fluffy and frothy mixture, work for about 3-4 minutes.
Also pour the yogurt into the bowl, I used two 4.2 oz jars of creamy plain yogurt, but vanilla is fine too, and I think banana would also pair well with Nutella. Mix to combine the yogurt.
Also add the sifted flour with the baking powder, I used the classic one, but the vanilla-flavored one is fine too.
Mix again with the electric mixer until you have a creamy and lump-free batter.
Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper, level it out, and put dollops of Nutella on top. Stir quickly with a fork; the Nutella should not go to the bottom. Bake immediately in a preheated static oven at 356°F for about 40 minutes. Use a toothpick to test doneness.
Once baked, let the cake cool in its mold and then serve it, soft and delicious with a creamy Nutella heart.
