CHOCOLATE CRUMBLE CAKE

Today we prepare the chocolate crumble cake, one of the fastest and easiest desserts that can exist… The chocolate crumble cake is a very delicious dessert, it will please everyone, both adults and children. A base of crumbled shortcrust pastry and an irresistible filling of dark chocolate, of course, you can put whatever you like, white chocolate, milk, gianduja, chili, hazelnuts… whatever you want… the result will be exceptional in any case.

CHOCOLATE CRUMBLE CAKE

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 7 tbsps butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1/4 cup hazelnut flour
  • lemon zest
  • 10.5 oz dark chocolate

Steps

  • In a bowl, combine the sugar and diced butter and mix with a fork.

    Add the egg and mix it with the butter and sugar.

    At this point, add the flour, hazelnut flour, baking powder, and the zest of a lemon, and mix by hand crumbling.

    In a greased and floured pan, spread half of the mixture and press a little with the back of a spoon. In my case, I used single-portion pans.

    Add the coarsely broken dark chocolate.

    Cover with the remaining crumbled shortcrust pastry.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 30 minutes.

  • Once baked, they will have a soft dark chocolate filling, and as they cool, the chocolate will harden and it will feel like biting into a chocolate bar within the shortcrust pastry 😋
