INGREDIENTS

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 4.5 oz quark (Or any other spreadable cheese)
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 oz candied orange
  • 1 3/4 oz raisins
  • fresh orange juice
  • to taste cointreau
  • to taste butter (Melted)
  • to taste powdered sugar

METHOD

  • First, squeeze the juice of the two oranges and pour it into a saucepan along with the liqueur.

    Add the raisins and candied orange.

    Heat over low flame for 5 minutes, then turn off and let cool.

    In a bowl, mix the flour, almond flour, baking powder, sugar, diced butter, and quark.

    Work with your hands a little and add the egg, continue to mix with your hands.

    Finally, add the softened and drained dried fruit, along with 2-3 tablespoons of the soaking liquid.

    Knead for a few moments so that the ingredients are distributed.

    Wrap the mixture in plastic wrap and let it firm up in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.

    After the resting time, take the dough and cut it into pieces of about 0.6 oz each, which you will arrange on a baking sheet previously lined with parchment paper.

    Bake in a static oven at 356°F for about 15 minutes.

    Once ready, remove them from the oven and, while they’re hot, brush them with melted butter and coat them generously with powdered sugar.
