Abruzzo Advent Cookies are traditional biscuits typical of the Christmas period and are eaten throughout Advent, which spans the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas.
During the Christmas period, we find many traditions in different cities of Italy, and then there are those concerning food, and in this case, my cookies from the Abruzzo tradition.
They are dunking cookies, simple and quick to make, and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
This recipe yielded 20, but I recommend doubling the dose, they go like hotcakes, finished too quickly.
Did I pique your interest at least a little? All that remains is to try to make them, and you’ll see how delicious they are!!!
If you plan to replicate my recipe, I will be very happy, and if you like, send me a photo of the recipe made by you, and I will post it on my Facebook page in your name.

Preparation of Abruzzo Advent Cookies
First, soak the raisins in hot water and set aside.
In a stand mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar on high speed, then gradually add all the other ingredients, working them at low speed, and finally add the flour, mixing everything well.
Once the dough is done, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes, then prepare the baking sheet where we will bake the cookies, cover it with parchment paper, and place all the spaced heaps on the sheet with the help of a spoon.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
Once baked, let them cool well before enjoying them.
