The air fryer turkey roast is one of my experiments, mainly because I wanted a quicker cooking without having to turn on the oven for not much meat.
In this case, the air fryer is really great resolution, faster cooking, although in this case not much, but at least the result is excellent.
I cooked everything covered with parchment paper and foil to then achieve top browning at the end of cooking.
After cooking, I sliced it, or rather I had my husband slice it, and if you want you can serve it with the remaining cooking juice.
The meat remains quite tender and juicy, you absolutely have to try it.
All that’s left is for you to try making it too, and you’ll tell me!
The turkey roast of course I made it in the air fryer, but you can easily cook it in the traditional oven.
If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos and I will publish them on my page with your name.

Ingredients for making Air Fryer Turkey Roast
- 1 whole turkey leg (about 2.2 lbs)
- spices (rosemary, sage, bay leaf, thyme), alternatively buy meat seasoning mix)
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- garlic powder
Tools
- 1 Air Fryer Air Fryer
Preparing the Air Fryer Turkey Roast
Take the turkey leg and season it externally with all the chopped spices, alternatively buy the meat seasoning mix.
Dust with salt and pepper, massaging the meat well.
At this point, wrap the leg first in a sheet of parchment paper, then in foil, secure it well by tightening the paper.
In the air fryer basket place a sheet of foil covering well, then place the turkey leg, insert everything into the fryer and start the machine at 392°F for 1 hour.
After the time has passed, remove the papers wrapping the meat and complete the cooking at the same temperature for about 45 minutes, taking care to turn the leg halfway through for an even crust on both sides.
Once cooking is finished, slice the leg…
….maybe serve with some of the cooking juice left in the basket.
