The bloody Halloween plum cake was partly conceived because I waited until the last days to prepare something and also because I wanted to make a different dessert.
It’s a super tasty plum cake, the only difference is that you need to get some red food coloring to make it bloody like mine.
These days we need to take inspiration from some simple recipes to make them fun and scary, suitable for this holiday.
Try making the bloody Halloween plum cake yourself and let me know if you liked it!!!
If you make this or any other of my recipes on my blog, feel free to send me your photos and I’ll put them on my fb page under your name.

In the meantime, melt the butter without making it liquid.
To the frothy mixture, add the vanilla, grated lemon, the butter which will have cooled, mix and add the flour a little at a time alternating with warm milk.
Mix the ingredients well to incorporate them.
Turn on the oven to 356°F, butter and flour a cake tin, in a separate bowl, put a few tablespoons of batter, add the coloring and mix until you get a nice red and mix well.
Pour a portion of the batter without coloring into the plum cake tin, then add half of the red batter, a bit more of the uncolored batter, the remaining red batter, and finish with the uncolored batter.
