The carrot and lemon detox drink is inspired by an article read online where it talked about drinking this kind of extract every evening and seeing the effects after a few days.
I’m not very much into long-term things, but my husband was intrigued, so I prepared it for several days. I thought he would get tired of it soon since I didn’t believe in the effect.
You won’t believe it, but it helped him digest better, slightly reduce bloating, and there were indeed some results, even though he’s still taking it and might experience more effective results in the future.
Of course, it’s a hassle to prepare every day, but if it’s worth it, I recommend trying it.
Initially, I thought it might cause constipation, but there were no side effects.
Always keep in mind that these are personal experiences; I am not a doctor, and I can only advise. Each person will see the effects on themselves.
Apart from the long-term benefits, it can also be prepared sporadically just for the pleasure of drinking it… I haven’t mentioned adding sugars, but you can add stevia or other less invasive sugars.
If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos, and I will publish them on my page with your name.

Ingredients to Make the Carrot and Lemon Detox Drink
- 1 carrot (approx. 4 oz, peeled)
- 2 lemons or limes (approx. 9 oz)
- 2 cups water
Tools
- 1 Funnel funnel
- 1 Strainer strainer
- 1 Blender Blender Cup
Preparation of the Carrot and Lemon Detox Drink
Wash the lemons or limes well, trim the ends, then cut them in half lengthwise, remove the central white part with a knife, remove the seeds, and create two wedges with each half, then chop into pieces and set aside.
Then peel a large carrot and slice it.
Take the blender cup, the tall one used for making shakes, put everything into the cup, add 2 cups of water, close the cup with its lid and blend at maximum speed for about 3 minutes.
Prepare a bottle that can hold about 25 oz, place the funnel and a strainer inside the funnel, once everything is blended, pour it into the strainer and use a spoon to press down to extract all the liquid.
Once everything is strained, you’ll have some pulp left. I recommend setting it aside in the fridge to use in a dessert within a couple of days, or freeze it in a small jar for later use.
Put the collected juice in a bottle in the fridge and drink it an hour before going to sleep.
Try it and let me know!
