Chicken Burgers

Homemade chicken burgers are really good, especially because we know what ingredients are in them and they are definitely more wholesome.
Personally, I understand all those people who, due to lack of time, buy pre-packaged burgers, but I would never do that.
I always think first about the origin of the meat, then the butcher who prepared it or the company (even worse) what they really put inside, then the red powder to keep the meat looking fresh all the time.
…Well, I’m a bit extreme and maybe not everyone thinks of all these things, but I’m naturally a bit picky and so I always think beyond!!!
We can cook chicken in many ways and this is one of the many versions to do it.
Buy some ground chicken and if possible have it ground on the spot to avoid preservatives and anything else, then season it as described in the recipe and make the burgers.
I have a hamburger mold, I also have sheets to keep them from sticking to each other, but you can make them by hand, they may not come out as precise but just as good.
Make them yourself and see how delicious they are, let me know if you liked them!!
If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos and I will post them on my page with your name.

Chicken Burgers
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 people
  • Cooking methods: Slow Fire, Stove
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

Ingredients for making Chicken Burgers

  • 1.76 lbs Chicken thighs
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 sprig Parsley (fresh)

Tools

  • 1 Hamburger Press hamburger press

Preparation of Chicken Burgers

  • If we can have them coarsely ground by the butcher, that’s great, otherwise, take the chicken thighs and remove all the bones, chop them very finely with a knife, and if we can’t cut them too small, once everything is chopped, we can give it a quick spin in the food processor, but without overdoing it, otherwise, it becomes mush.
Mix the meat well with salt, chopped garlic, and parsley.
Form 8 balls and then flatten them to shape them into hamburgers or press them with a hamburger press if you have one.

  • Put a drizzle of e.v.o. oil in a large non-stick pan and cook for about 20 minutes, turning them over from time to time, browning them on both sides.
    Serve hot.

My name is Francesca Mele, and "Lo scrigno del buongusto" is the name of my blog. I am a true Abruzzese, and after several years with a cooking website, I decided to start a blog. I have been online for a total of 12 years now, so many of you have known me for a long time! I love cooking and I am neither a chef nor a professional cook; I simply have a passion for cooking, preparing, and inventing new dishes. The recipes you find on my blog are not copied, and even the photos are not downloaded from the internet; they are my own.
