Preparation of the Chocolate Apple Cake
First, peel the apples, core them, slice them, sprinkle with lemon, add cinnamon, rum, and sugar, and mix well… set aside.
In a stand mixer, place the eggs and beat them on high speed until they’re nice and fluffy.
Once the eggs are whipped, add the sugar at the lowest speed, then add the oil, cocoa, and milk, mixing slowly and incorporating the ingredients very gradually.
Add the rum, cinnamon, and finally the flour, working for a few minutes to ensure the ingredients are well combined.
At this point, pour the mixture over the apples and mix well.
Take a 10-inch diameter pan, butter and flour it, then pour the mixture in and smooth it well.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for about 1 hour, checking for doneness.
