Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

The chocolate chip pound cake is always a well-appreciated dessert, and personally, I love it especially for the chocolate chips or dark chocolate chunks.
By now, you must know that I love chocolate!
A simple dessert, easy to make, ideal for breakfast and snacks.
You can use common granulated sugar or brown sugar for a more intense flavor.
Depending on personal preferences, you can also use white or milk chocolate, but I always opt for dark chocolate.
Follow the recipe, and you’ll see how good it is!
If you make this or any of my other recipes on my blog, feel free to send me your photos, and I will post them on my Facebook page in your name.

  • 4 oz dark chocolate chips
  • cup sugar
  • cup sunflower oil
  • 2 eggs (medium)
  • cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 packet vanillin
  • oz powdered sugar

Tools

  • 1 Pound Cake Pan pound cake pan

Preparation of the Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

  • In the stand mixer, put the eggs and sugar and beat for a few minutes, then add the other ingredients, mixing at low speed, and lastly, add the chocolate chips, making sure to mix them first in a small bowl with a tablespoon of flour before adding them to the batter.
Mixing the chocolate chips with flour helps prevent them from sinking to the bottom during baking.

  • Grease and flour a pound cake pan, pour the batter, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 45 minutes, checking for doneness.

My name is Francesca Mele, and "Lo scrigno del buongusto" is the name of my blog. I am a true Abruzzese, and after several years with a cooking website, I decided to start a blog. I have been online for a total of 12 years now, so many of you have known me for a long time! I love cooking and I am neither a chef nor a professional cook; I simply have a passion for cooking, preparing, and inventing new dishes. The recipes you find on my blog are not copied, and even the photos are not downloaded from the internet; they are my own.
