Chocolate salami is really popular in some areas of Italy and is really delicious, although a bit high in calories!
Its origins seem to trace back to Portugal, but here in Italy it is widely used especially during parties and all year-round holidays, but to tell the truth, any occasion is a good reason to make it.
The sweet is widespread throughout Italy, in Emilia Romagna it was traditionally made during the Easter period, and it is also very common in Naples and all over Southern Italy.
I adore the flavor combination between chocolate and biscuit… it’s truly sublime!
This is a dessert that really reminds me of my childhood, because when I was little, my mom used to make it from time to time because I have always been a chocolate lover, even if I didn’t get much of an appetite for anything else!!!
If you like it as much as I do, try making it following my recipe for chocolate salami!
If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos and I will post them on my page with your name.
