Let’s make the Eggless and Butterless Plum Cake!
Some recipes don’t need proclamations to be appreciated; they arise from everyday life, from those mornings when you crave something simple, genuine, that smells like home and brings a bit of order to the daily frenzy.
This eggless and butterless plum cake belongs precisely to that category of sincere desserts, those that don’t seek shortcuts but also avoid unnecessary complications.
It’s the classic pantry dessert, the kind many families have always made ‘by eye’, with clean ingredients and few steps, because in the end what matters is the result… a soft, fragrant slice that warms your day without weighing it down.
Here, the absence of eggs and butter doesn’t detract from the character of the dessert; it simply makes it lighter, more modern, more suitable for those who want to maintain good habits without giving up a more conscious approach.
Because needs change, times change, but the desire for a homemade dessert remains the same.
And when you take it out of the oven and let it cool, with that aroma filling the kitchen, you realize that some things don’t need rich ingredients to work… an honest breakfast, a solid snack, without sacrificing taste.
Make it too, and let me know!!!

Grease and flour a plum cake mold (if using a silicone one, it’s not necessary) and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 30 minutes, checking for doneness.
Remove from the oven, let it cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
