Flavored Focaccia

Approx. 1418 total Kcal
The flavored focaccia is very soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, flavored and very tasty.
To be honest, I made this recipe without weighing everything precisely a few years ago. Now I’ve decided to remake it to change the photo and take the opportunity to provide more precise quantities.
Sure, every now and then I update old recipes from the beginning of my blog. The photos were really debatable, and some texts definitely needed fixing.
This focaccia can be used instead of bread, or prepared as a savory snack for your kids.
Try making it following my recipe, and you’ll see how good it is!!!
If you make any of my recipes, send me the photos, and I’ll publish them on my page with your name.
Even though the recipe is very simple and unpretentious, I really recommend trying it. You’ll see that you’ll like it a lot, and it may not make it to dinner time!

Flavored Focaccia
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Rest time: 2 Hours
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 1 focaccia
  • Cooking methods: Electric Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

Ingredients for Flavored Focaccia

  • 7 oz warm water
  • 0.5 oz fresh brewer's yeast
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sunflower seed oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • chopped rosemary to taste

Preparation of Flavored Focaccia

  • In the mixer (or by hand), place the warm water and yeast, and let dissolve.

Add 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of garlic, 1 tsp of salt, chopped rosemary to taste, 1 tsp of sunflower seed oil, and mix well for a few minutes.

Add the remaining flour until a well-blended dough forms.

Transfer the dough to a large container and let it rise covered with plastic wrap for at least 2 hours or until doubled.

Once risen, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead to form a dough ball, then cover again and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

  • After the time has passed, take the dough, stretch it by hand, and place it in a greased baking pan measuring approximately 12×14 inches. Brush the surface of the focaccia with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

Let it rise covered for about 1 hour in a warm place.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 464°F for about 15 minutes, checking the cooking.

My name is Francesca Mele, and "Lo scrigno del buongusto" is the name of my blog. I am a true Abruzzese, and after several years with a cooking website, I decided to start a blog. I have been online for a total of 12 years now, so many of you have known me for a long time! I love cooking and I am neither a chef nor a professional cook; I simply have a passion for cooking, preparing, and inventing new dishes. The recipes you find on my blog are not copied, and even the photos are not downloaded from the internet; they are my own.
